SCHOLARSHIP
2026 Kodály Summer Certificate Scholarships
KFME is excited to be able to offer scholarships to support the 2026 Kodály Summer Certificate at the University of Redlands in San Anselmo (June 15 - July 3, 2026) through scholarship to offset tuition cost.
Scholarships will be offered as follows:
Ten $2,500 scholarships for full-time study
Five $1,000 scholarships for part-time study
The deadline to submit application is May 1, 2026. Students will be notified of scholarship acceptance by email.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to receive a scholarship from the Kodály Foundation, the following criteria must be met:
Applicants must be enrolled in the 2026 Kodály Certificate program at University of Redlands for credit.
The complete KFME application form must be submitted electronically. No paper copies will be accepted.
All applications must be complete and submitted no later than May 1, 2026 at 11:59pm (PT).
Applicants must disclose any additional funding that they are receiving to study at the 2026 summer program.
Recipients are required to submit a 200 word reflection about their experience by August 1, 2026.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received.

This summer, University of Redlands is pleased to offer the annual Kodály Summer Institute, formally offered through Holy Names University. Under the direction of Dr. Kathy Hickey, the 2026 Kodály Summer Certificate in San Anselmo will offer courses in:
Kodály Pedagogy & Practicum Levels I, II, III
Kodály Musicianship Levels I, II, III
Kodály Conducting Levels I, II, III
Kodály Folk Music Research Levels I, II, III
Kodály Choral Ensemble I, II, III

Additionally, Dr Niké St. Clair will offer Kodály for Choirs, running daily from 12:30-4:30pm. This course is designed for secondary choral educators, HNU alumni, church and community choral directors. Participants will refresh their conducting expertise, hone language and diction skills, and learn about the Kodály approach to choral pedagogy.
